Texans linebacker Dylan Cole out for season

Texans inside linebacker Dylan Cole, a valuable reserve and special-teams contributor is done for the season.

Cole is being placed on injured reserve with a dislocated wrist suffered Sunday against the New York Giants and will undergo surgery, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.

The Texans are promoting former Oakland Raiders offensive tackle David Sharpe from the practice squad to the active roster, according to a source.

Cole made the Texans' roster as an undrafted free agent last year and recorded two interceptions and one sack.

He played in 12 games with one start.
