Texans' Keke Coutee on fumble: 'I thought my knee was down'

Texans wide receiver Keke Coutee remains convinced his knee was down on a lost fumble that the Denver Broncos returned for a touchdown.

Afterward, Coutee said that one referee agreed with his assessment.

However, instant replays show the football was ripped out of his grasp by linebacker Alexander Johnson a split-second before Coutee's knee touched the ground.

Former Texans defensive back Kareem Jackson returned the fumble 70 yards for a touchdown during a 38-24 victory Sunday at NRG Stadium.

"I thought my knee was down, honestly," said Coutee, who caught five passes for 68 yards on eight targets in his first action since a loss to the Baltimore Ravens as the former fourth-round draft pick from Texas Tech was a healthy scratch the past two games.
