In a nod of respect to law enforcement, Texans linebacker John Simon honored first responders at an appreciation lunch Thursday at the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Simon interacted with police officers and K9s4Cop, inviting two K9 officers to be honored along with other first responders at a Liberty White Out-themed season-opener Sept. 11 against the Chicago Bears at NRG Stadium.

"I just wanted to come out and here and show them we appreciate all the sacrifices and risks they take on a daily basis because I really think they go underappreciated and deserve a lot of respect," Simon said.
