Texans Pro Bowl defensive end J.J. Watt displayed a sense of humor about the shirtless photo he posted on social media.
And the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year also struck an optimistic stance in his recovery from offseason groin surgery to repair several core muscles. Watt isn't practicing yet, but that could be soon.
"I feel really good," Watt said. "As soon as I'm allowed, I'll be out there. You guys know me well enough now to know that it's not up to me. I think it will be soon."
The 6-5, 290-pound pass rusher absorbed some good-natured ribbing from teammates about posting a photo on his Twitter account sans shirt.
