A little after 6 a.m. Monday, Texans star J.J. Watt got on Twitter and Instagram to post a message about the devastating injury he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the Chiefs.
"I can't sugarcoat it, I am devastated.
"All I want to do is be out there on that field for my teammates and this city.
"I'm sorry."
Watt is out for the season after suffering a tibial plateau fracture of his left leg, a break at the top of the shin bone within the knee joint.
The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year was helped off the field by trainers and was unable to put any weight on his damaged leg.
