Texans outside linebacker-defensive end Jadeveon Clowney emerged as a Pro Bowl selection last season, a nod to his growing skills as a pass rusher and run-stopper.
Following a career breakthrough year that coincided with the former top overall pick finally being healthy for the majority of the season, Clowney is off to a torrid start.
Clowney sacked New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady twice Sunday and returned a fumble 22 yards for a touchdown. He has 11 tackles, five for losses and two fumble recoveries this season.
"He's an explosive player," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said.
