They worked out free agents Tyreek Burwell and Rick Leonard.
Neither player was immediately signed to a contract.
Burwell is 6-6, 305 pounds and has previous stints with the Chargers and Colts.
Leonard is a 6-7, 311-pound former New Orleans Saints fourth-round draft pick from Florida State.
The Texans promoted linebacker Tyrell Adams to the active roster.
They re-signed offensive tackle Roderick Johnson to the practice squad after he cleared waivers.
