The Texans have hired Montana State running backs coach and recruiting coordinator DeNarius McGhee as a quality control assistant, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.

McGhee is a former Montana State quarterback who has also coached quarterbacks and running backs.
He also coached at North Carolina State and Florida Atlantic.
As a player, he was a four-year starter, a two-time Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player and an All-American selection as the winningest quarterback in school history.
