The Texans' game captains took on a local flavor Thursday night during a preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams.
Representing the Texans at the opening coin toss were three rookies from area high schools, including rookie fullback Cullen Gillaspia (Katy Taylor, Texas A&M), nose tackle Javier Edwards (Ben Davis) and wide receiver Floyd Allen (Nimitz).
The Rams have several players with local ties, including inside linebacker Dakota Allen (Humble, Texas Tech), linebacker Ogbo Okoronkwo (Alief Taylor, Oklahoma) and tight end Keenen Brown (Alief Taylor, Texas State).
