Texans feel good about Demaryius Thomas' knowledge, contributions

Veteran wide receiver Demaryius Thomas' involvement in the Texans' offense has followed a steady pattern.

Thomas provides a complementary presence opposite All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, meaning he isn't targeted frequently or asked to produce huge numbers.

Thomas caught four passes for 48 yards during Sunday's 24-21 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Since being acquired in a midseason trade from the Denver Broncos, Thomas has caught 14 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns in five games.

With the Broncos, he caught 36 passes for 402 yards and three scores. For the season, the five-time Pro Bowl selection has 50 receptions for 581 yards and five touchdowns.
