Texans’ division rival signs Brandon Weeden

It was a little surprising when the Houston Texans released veteran quarterback Brandon Weeden this past summer after deciding to only go with rookie Deshaun Watson and veteran Tom Savage as their only two quarterbacks going into the regular season.

Weeden was a free agent, until now.

ESPN NFL insider Field Yates reported on Tuesday that the Tennessee Titans are signing Weeden.

The Titans are planning to sign free agent QB Brandon Weeden, according to a league source.

With Titans’ starting quarterback Marcus Mariota exiting this past Sunday’s loss to the Texans with a hamstring injury, they had to add a quarterback.
