Texans' Deshaun Watson sets NFL rookie five-game TD record

The torrid start of Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson has earned him a place in the NFL record book.

The first-round draft pick from Clemson has passed for 12 touchdowns in his team's first five games, an unprecedented mark. Previously, no other rookie quarterback had 10 touchdown passes in their team's first five games.

Watson has passed for 1,072 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions with a 100.7 passer rating for the season. He's on pace to finish the season with 3,430 yards and 38 touchdown passes.

"I'm impressed with the things that he can do with his feet and with his arm as well," Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins said.
