The promotion of tight ends coach Tim Kelly to offensive coordinator agrees with Texans All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
Hopkins has seen Kelly's growth from a quality control to assistant offensive line to running the Texans' tight ends.
"Tim Kelly, he's a great guy, great coach," Hopkins said. "So, I'm looking forward to working with him. It's good. Tim's been around us for a while."
Hopkins caught 115 passes for 1,572 yards and 11 touchdowns. He sprained his shoulder against the Indianapolis Colts during a playoff loss. He dealt with a thumb injury all year.
"Oh man, I'm good," Hopkins said.
