Shadowing wide receivers, blitzing quarterbacks and occasionally operating like a linebacker, Texans cornerback A.J. Bouye has emerged as a valuable part of the defense.
Bouye had four tackles and two passes defended against the Kansas City Chiefs. He had a sack against the Chicago Bears and has seven tackles and three passes defended through two games.
A former undrafted free agent from Central Florida, Bouye is being counted on as the Texans' fourth cornerback.
"He did a nice job," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "He has been good on special teams. He's been good on defense.
