The Houston Texans' run offense was squarely in the middle of the pack last season. This year? It seems the Texans are trying to get a little closer to the top. Houston is close to signing free agent running back Nick Chubb, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and NFL.com.
Rapoport tweeted Sunday that Chubb "is expected to sign with the Texans on Monday if all goes well with his physical." Chubb, previously of the Cleveland Browns, suffered a foot injury that ended his 2024 season prematurely. Over eight games with the Browns last season, Chubb rushed for 322 yards on 102 carries.
