Veteran running back Carlos Hyde thought it was a prank call initially when he was informed by a Kansas City Chiefs staffer that he was being traded to the Texans in exchange for offensive lineman Martinas Rankin.
Hyde didn't hear from Chiefs coach Andy Reid or general manager Brett Veach at the time and acknowledged he'll feel a little something extra Sunday when he faces the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
"You know what, it's getting real personal now," Hyde said in a light-hearted tone. "Neither one of them (Reid or Veach) called me. Somebody I’ve never spoke to called me.
