Ingram is the Texans' leading rusher. His 294 yards are more than half of the team's total rushing yard this season. When Ingram signed a one-year contract with the Texans in the offseason, he said he knew the Texans had "good people on the team" and mentioned Cooks by name. Cooks and Ingram were teammates with the Saints for three seasons.
When the Texans traded for Cooks before the 2020 season, he was a guy thought to be all in on what the franchise is trying to do. However, in the year-plus that he's been in Houston, the Texans are 5-18.
