Texans' Bill O'Brien: 'We want A.J. Bouye back'

HOUSTON -- After joining the Houston Texans in 2013 as an undrafted free agent, cornerback A.J. Bouye has become “a top corner” in the NFL, according to head coach Bill O’Brien.

Houston has a decision to make this offseason after Bouye played his way from starting as the Texans’ No. 4 cornerback before the season, to becoming one of the more reliable options as the season progressed. Bouye will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

“We want A.J. Bouye back,” head coach Bill O’Brien said. “He’s one of us, you know what I mean? He’s a guy that was undrafted before we got here and when we came here, based on his own work ethic, the coaching from John Butler, the guy has done an excellent job.
