Texans third quarterback Joe Webb signed another one-year contract and rejoined his teammates at practice Monday.
Webb was released Saturday and agreed to terms Sunday on a new deal.
Webb had a strong preseason and impressed the coaching staff with his versatility and mobility. He doubles as a special teams contributor.
“That was kind of a formality – I’ll be honest with you – relative to a couple things that were going on,” Texans coach Bill O’Brien said. “But he earned the right to be on our team and he made our football team.”
