After five seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, the former All-Pro free safety nicknamed “Honey Badger” agreed to a one-year deal with the Texans.
Mathieu is once again a free agent and several teams have reportedly shown interest in the 26-year old.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported that the Baltimore Ravens are expected to make a “strong push” for Mathieu if he does indeed hit the market.
The Ravens also released Pro Bowl safety Eric Weddle on Tuesday, leaving the position open for a potential free agent suitor.
