Texans add veteran offensive lineman in trade with Buccaneers

The Houston Texans have reached deals with several players in the early stages of free agency, with the additions ranging from potential starters (receiver Robert Woods, defensive lineman Hassan Ridgeway and safety Jimmie Ward) to a well-liked backup quarterback with deep ties to the city's football scene (Case Keenum). On Tuesday, the Texans bolstered their roster in a different way.

Per reports from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, Houston is acquiring veteran offensive lineman Shaq Mason in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Houston will reportedly send a sixth-round pick to Tampa Bay in exchange for Mason and a seventh-round pick.
