Please indulge in some pure feelings.
The Houston Texans are the only NFL team named after all people in the state. They are the Texans, based in Houston, Texas. When they first came into existence 20 years ago, I remember having to explain to outsiders that the Houston Texans were a new football team.
Since their beginning, the team has been its finest when it reflects this city and its people in the way it communicates, connects and acts. The word “Texas” comes from the word “friend” and my view is Houston is the friendliest big city in America.
