Sources: Texans' Kirk likely out Week 1, potentially longer

Houston Texans receiver Christian Kirk has a strained hamstring that is expected to sideline him for at least Sunday's regular-season opener against the Rams in Los Angeles and possibly longer, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Thursday.

One source estimated it to be a two-week injury for Kirk but that the Texans will be "cautious" with him.

Kirk sat out practice for Houston on Wednesday.

Houston acquired Kirk via trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars in March. He was slated to start for the Texans alongside Nico Collins, helping a receiving unit that is unlikely to have Tank Dell (knee surgeries) this season.
