After the disastrous 2013 season which ended with 14 straight losses, the Texans got the top pick in the 2014 draft and picked South Carolina standout Jadeveon Clowney. There was no quarterback worthy of being taken with the top pick, so the defensive end got the distinction after a standout career for the Gamecocks.
During his college career Clowney had shown why he was the #1 player coming out of high school. His freshman year he racked up eight sacks and his sophomore year was one for the ages. He racked up 14 sacks and everyone remembers this hit.
