The Roughnecks signed former Texans special-teams ace and reserve linebacker Brian Peters.
Peters' last season with the Texans was in 2018, recording nine tackles in 11 games.
Peters, 31, a former Northwestern player who has also played in the Canadian Football League and for the Minnesota Vikings, recorded 54 tackles in four seasons for the Texans.
He finished the season on injured reserve in 2018.
