Pro Football Focus Thinks The Texans Offensive Line Is Still Bad

The Texans’ pass protection was bad last year. Deshaun Watson was the most pressured quarterback in football at 41.1%. Watson was sacked 65 times last season. This wasn’t all on the offensive line, tight ends and running backs missed blocks, and quarterbacks are important when it comes to pass protection as well, but, well, the offensive line was still a vital component in the furious pocket Watson had to play inside of. And in the run game, it wasn’t much better, they struggled to block the second level, and they ran a bunch of different types of run plays but weren’t really good at any of them.
