A lot of the Texans' recent acquisitions have involved wanting to bolster their special teams units.
That was the case again with claiming linebacker Ben Heeney off waivers from the New Orleans Saints.
A former Oakland Raiders fifth-round draft pick from Kansas, Heeney is known for his kick coverage skills and toughness.
After playing for the Raiders and Saints, Heeney is hoping to stick with the Texans.
"Definitely, jut looking for some stability," said Heeney, who had 127 tackles as a senior for the Jayhawks. "I'm happy to be here, happy to be a Texan.
