That chant has been popular with the UH fan base for years, actually originating way back in 1988 when Cougars cheerleader Paul Pettit first yelled it at a UH football game.
To be fair, "Whose house? Our house!" has been used by many teams and fans alike. Here's a 2014 video of the Texas A&M football team using it on the field and Purdue does it routinely at its games. Even Texans quarterback Davis Mills did a version of it back in his Stanford days.
