Former Texans quarterback Tom Savage has a new NFL employer.
Savage was signed by the Detroit Lions on Tuesday.
Savage spent last season with the San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals and New Orleans Saints.
With the Texans, Savage started nine games. He was the starter before being replaced in 2017 by rookie Deshaun Watson. He passed for 1,412 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions that season.
A former Texans fourth-round draft pick from Pitt, Savage is entering his sixth NFL season.
Savage has passed for 2,000 career yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions.
