A couple of weeks ago, the NFL correctly recognized John Christian Ka’iminoeauloameka’ikeokekumupa’a Fairbairn as the single best special teams player in the entire American Football Conference. This morning, the NFL realized the foolishness of limiting that recognition to a single week and named the Texans’ kicker the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month. Fairbairn joins Chad Stanley (remember him?) as the only Texans to win Special Teams Player of the Month in franchise history.
