Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon has long been linked to the Houston Texans' head coaching vacancy—whether it was being among the front-runners at one point last year, to interviewing with the team earlier this month. But based on some recent comments from Gannon himself, it looks like he might no longer be a candidate to be the Texans' next coach.
During a postgame interview following the Eagles' 31-7 NFC Championship Game win over the San Francisco 49ers, Gannon hinted that he plans to return to Philadelphia next season. "No, Philly is keeping me," Gannon told FOX 29 Philadelphia's Breland Moore on Sunday.
