After more than a decade apart, the Houston Texans and DeMeco Ryans have reunited.
According to multiple reports, the Texans have hired the San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator to be their next head coach, bringing the beloved former linebacker back to the Bayou City in the process. Ryans was the 2006 Defensive Rookie of the Year and a two-time Pro Bowler during his playing days in Houston, a time period in which he emerged as one of the first team leaders and fan favorites in franchise history.
Ryans returns to the Texans after having spent the past six seasons on the 49ers' coaching staff, including the last two as defensive coordinator.
