Houston Texans sign Mike Adams to bolster safety group

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Texans have signed safety Mike Adams to their 53 man roster. Adams was a Pro Bowl safety for the Indianapolis Colts in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Undrafted in 2004, Adams will be joining his sixth team in Houston.

It was reported last week by Wilson that Adams was one of four safeties that were brought in for a workout by the Texans. Adams’ addition to the roster will be a great move as another veteran in the locker room, and a knowledgeable safety that can be a mentor to the younger players in the secondary.
