The Houston Texans have signed quarterback Joe Webb III to a one-year extension for the 2019 season. Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reported that Webb signed a one year deal worth up to $1 million for 2019. Webb was a versatile player for the Texans in the 2018 season playing at wide receiver, special teams, and serving as the third quarterback on the depth chart.
Texans general manager Brian Gaine brought Webb from the Buffalo Bills after Gaine served as the Bills’ vice president of player personnel in 2017. Webb had three tackles with the Texans special teams unit and served as the Texans reserve slot receiver when Keke Coutee was sidelined for the early portion of the season with a hamstring injury.
