The last 18 months have been obscene. Blowing a 24 point lead, trading DeAndre Hopkins, adding only Eric Murray and Ross Blacklock to a bottom pass defense, starting 0-4 and immolating the Bill O’Brien era, watching Deshaun Watson’s teammates actively sabotage him, Watson’s trade request after the Nick Caserio hiring process, another draft without a first or second round pick, and a summer of malaise, the good news is that football has started again, and all of that is down the drain. What matters, the only thing that matters, is right here right now, and right now, the Texans are 1-0 after hunting down the Jaguars in a 37-21 win.
