Entering his second season in the league, Jordan Thomas has the golden opportunity to earn the starting spot at the tight end position for the Houston Texans. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, it isn’t common for late round draftees to make such a leap in contribution from year to the next but Thomas showed some tantalizing potential in his rookie season.
Thomas impressed as a rookie with 20 receptions, 215 receiving yards, and four touchdown receptions. His four receptions in the endzone were tied for a rookie record for the second most touchdowns in franchise history.
