Adding depth to the roster for the injured A.J. McCarron, the Houston Texans added quarterback Jordan Ta’amu to the team this past week, and he’ll be playing behind not only starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, but Joe Webb, who was the third-string quarterback before McCarron’s injury.
Ta’amu joins the Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Mississippi. At the NFL combine, he ran a 4.77 40-yard dash, and in his NFL.com draft profile he was graded at a 4.92 as they said he “should be in an NFL training camp.
