Houston Texans: J.J. Watt among others returning to practice

The Houston Texans injured players are returning back to health and are practicing ahead of their second game against the Detroit Lions. Defensive end J.J. Watt is returning back to the practice field after managing a groin injury in a joint practice against the Green Bay Packers.

Watt’s absence was felt in the Texans first preseason game against the Packers as the defense struggled to disrupt the pocket and get to the quarterback with consistency.

Texans also have Will Fuller and Jordan Thomas returning on offense. Thomas was dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for a week, but he has tremendous upside to become a focal point for the Texans in his second season in the league.
