Houston Texans Injury Update: Lonnie Ballentine Out For Season With Leg Injury

The Texans' safety position just got a bit thinner. The former Mr. Irrelevant will miss the rest of the season.

Lonnie Ballentine suffered a "significant" leg injury in the fourth quarter of yesterday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The second-year safety was carted off the field after colliding with a Jaguars receiver.

After coming off injured reserve last year, clawing his way back to the active roster, biding his time behind Quintin Demps and Eddie Pleasant, Ballentine finally got a real shot, but it was cut short.

S Lonnie Ballentine is out 4 season with a knee injury.
