Houston Texans Injury News: Brennan Scarlett To Return From Injured Reserve

On November 8th, when the Texans notched a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, journeyman linebacker Brennan Scarlett broke his forearm, which resulted in surgery that same week. As these things go, Scarlett found himself on the Injured Reserve list soon thereafter.

However, following the example of heroic leader of men J.J. Watt last year, Scarlett is coming back from IR this week and can resume practicing with the team. This move triggers a 21-day window for the Houston medical staff and coaches to evaluate where Scarlett is along the recovery path. Should they find that Scarlett is truly truly Watt-like in his healing prowess, the Texans can bring him back onto the active roster within that window.
