Houston Texans: DeAndre Hopkins has 5th longest active reception streak in NFL

When the Houston Texans drafted DeAndre Hopkins in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft — as the 27th overall selection — the franchise knew they were gaining a good player with that selection, but they ended up drafting one of the best wide receivers and players of this era.

Houston hit the jackpot that day when Hopkins was passed over 26 times, but when the Texans drafted him, he became a player who changed the landscape of the franchise forever. Hopkins made his first NFL catch against the then-named San Diego Chargers in ’13, a game where Hopkins totaled five receptions for 66 yards.
