Houston Texans Coaching News: 2021 Coaching Staff Officially Announced

During the David Culley introductory press conference, Nick Caserio was adamant that the next step in the process was building a staff. A potential Deshaun Watson trade was far in the future. Barely a possibility, way over the horizon. The only thing that mattered was the Texans’ coaching staff for the 2021 season. One day at a time. Brick by brick.

Mission accomplished! Although several of these hires have been known for some time, the Texans have now officially announced their 2021 coaching staff.

Lovie Smith: Associate Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator

Tim Kelly: Offensive Coordinator

Frank Ross: Special Teams Coordinator

Sean Baker: Assistant Special Teams

Danny Barrett: Running Backs

Andy Bischoff: Tight Ends

James Campen: Offensive Line

Ilir Emini: Defensive Assistant

Pep Hamilton: Passing Game Coordinator / Quarterbacks

Greg Jackson: Safeties

Bobby King: Defensive Line

Robert Kugler: Assistant Offensive Line / Offensive Assistant

Ben McDaniels: Assistant Wide Receivers / Offensive Assistant

DeNarius McGhee: Offensive Assistant

Robert Prince: Wide Receivers

Allen Smith: Assistant Defensive Line / Defensive Assistant

Miles Smith: Linebackers

Dino Vasso: Cornerbacks

Houston also announced that Romeo Crennel will be back for another season as the Senior Advisor for Football Performance.
