On July 8 the Astros beat the Chicago White Sox 2-1 to complete a four-game sweep. Coupled with the three-game sweep in Chicago back in April it marked the Houston Astros first ever seven-game season series sweep. It wasn’t their first season sweep nor was it the first season sweep in the history of Houston professional sports. Here is a look back at some of those seasons.
First things first. For the purpose of this story, a season sweep is two games or more. Since the NFL counts playoff games as part of the record those also count toward season sweep.
