The Houston Texans have won three straight games with backup quarterback Davis Mills as the starter while C.J. Stroud remains in the concussion protocol. Coincidence? Well, actually, yes.
Mills, 27 and in his fifth season with the Texans, earns some credit for Houston's recent hot streak, including a critical 23-19 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night. He's thrown just one interception during the three-week, three-win stretch, and he made several clutch plays with his legs in both a Week 11 win against Jacksonville and last week's victory at the Tennessee Titans.
