I don’t look for much in supporting a football team. Winning is nice and losing obviously happens, but those aren’t the bare minimum of what I look for in a team to support.
What I want, above all else, is to know that the team I follow puts more effort into playing their game than I do in watching it. That’s really it. I want the team to put more effort into winning their game than I do to get out of bed, brush my teeth, put on pants, drive down to Buffalo Wild Wings, order food, and watch television for three-ish hours a week.
