The Texans trail the Panthers 7-6 at halftime after Davis Mills showed signs of life in the final possession of the half.
After failing to cross midfield on their first four possessions, the Texans finally got a little less conservative and let their rookie quarterback go to work. Mills led the Texans on a 64-yard drive and got into the end zone with a one-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Miller. Joey Slye missed the extra point, letting the Panthers hold on to the lead.
The Panthers grabbed an early 7-0 lead with an 88-yard drive capped by a 5-yard keeper by quarterback Sam Darnold for a touchdown.
