There are just two players with ties to the Houston Texans expected to play in Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2 in Miami.
Tyrann Mathieu, who spent last season with the Texans before leaving for Kansas City via free agency, is expected to play a big role in slowing down the 49ers offense from his spot at safety. The 49ers added former Texans defensive tackle Earl Mitchell, who is from Houston and attended North Shore High School, right before the playoffs and he has been a part of the rotation along the San Francisco defensive line.
