Former Houston Texans defensive back Michael Tyson has been claimed off of waivers by the Green Bay Packers. Drafted out of the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft from the University of Cincinnati, he spent his rookie season with the Seattle Seahawks. Tyson will be joining his third team in his third season in the NFL.
He spent his rookie season on the Seahawks’ practice squad after being waived during the roster cutdowns towards the start of the regular season and was released from the roster ahead of the start of the 2018 season.
Tyson was signed to the Texans practice squad and promoted to the active roster before Week 6 due to injuries striking the secondary.
