The first half was a dour and unremarkable affair with both offenses struggling immensely. In fact the only thing of interest that occurred was Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey and Head Coach Doug Marrone getting into a verbal altercation. Each team traded field goals before the Texans miss managed the clock at the end of the half to deny themselves the chance a attacking the endzone in favour of kicking a field goal.
