Former Texans wide receiver Cecil Shorts III is scheduled to visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly.
Cut by the defending AFC South champions on Saturday, Shorts told The Chronicle on Sunday that he's already drawing interest from at least five NFL teams. Shorts, 28, was released as the Texans went with a youth movement at wide receiver led by Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, 24, and the emergence of young receivers Will Fuller, Braxton Miller, Jaelen Strong and Keith Mumphery.
"Things will work out," Shorts said in a telephone interview.
